Enter Southern Motors, the most down to earth and real people I've had the pleasure of doing business with. My entire experience buying my new “used” MINI went smoothly. From my initial emails with Chris to my questions about the car being answered by Katie and Mark to the quick paper signing with Mark, the whole experience was seamless. There was no pressure to buy. Mark helped me set up some of the many settings on the MINI after the purchase, which was super helpful. All in all, it was a painless and easy experience for a nervous out of state purchaser. I would highly recommend Southern Motor Company!

I just bought my BEAUTIFUL BMW yesterday and it was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had buying a car! They were all so friendly and helpful without being pushy at all. I was an out of State buyer so automatically I was extra cautious because this was a first time experience. I will say this for what it's worth, MY EXPERIENCE WAS OUTSTANDING! Chris and Eric have been awesome to work with and definitely men of their word. True gentlemen. We purchased a 2016 LR4. The vehicle was all they said it would be. Very clean and runs awesome. I've been working in and around the car biz for 30 years. I've owned leasing companies, franchise stores, finance companies, etc. I know all the BS games a Dealer can play. I would NEVER recommend anyone buy a vehicle without seeing it/test driving first ....... until today. And I just did it, and could not be happier with Chris, his staff, their overall professonalism, and above all, the quality of the vehicle I purchased SIGHT UNSEEN (my needs were unique). The unit I purchased sight unseen was EXACTLY was Chris purported it to be. That's beyond rare in this business. I would not hesitate doing a deal with Chris again and I HIGHLY recommend anyone considering doing business with him to do so. I never post reviews. But Chris deserves this review. In this business, Chris is a rare breed. Buy a vehicle from him and you will not be disapointed. Me? I am going to buy another one ..... or at least try to.

Love my Lexus SUV - it has been running strong for over 2 years now with no issues. I will be looking for another one before long since I have put over 70,000 on it in the last two years with several trips to FL, many times back and forth to VA - several trips to NC, and a trip to New Orleans to see a saints game. So yes, I will be in the market again in the next year or so as my Lexus hits the 225,000 mile mark - my son got his Ram truck here too and that too has been to several different states many times and still going strong

I’ve never met a person who changes the image of a salesperson like he does. After having a horrible experience with another dealer, Randy restored my faith in the Used Vehicle Industry. Another lot sold me a car with a blown head gasket and failed to follow thru on the warranty. Thinking the car was a total loss, I went to SMC in search of another car. Instead of simply selling me a car to turn a profit, Randy gave me options and got me in touch with a mechanic that could replace the engine in the vehicle I have. That is customer service that is above and beyond the norm, I highly recommend these guys :)

Hi, I'm Steve from northern Michigan Randy & Chad are the GREATEST !!!! They are very upfront and honest, not your typical car dealers. So easy to work with and VERY ACCOMODATING ! I recently contacted Southern Motor Company regarding one of their many FINE VEHICLES. Randy worked with me and we agreed on a great price and was even willing to hold the vehicle until I arrived from Michigan. Unfortunately, just hours before I was leaving for the airport .I experienced a health emergency and here I am at the hospital while writing this review. I probably won't be able to make the trip to pick up my beautiful car, however I'm hoping the deal is not dead since Randy is looking into reasonably priced shipping for me. My daughter and I walked onto the parking lot and not even knowing we were talking to the owner, Chris, who greeted us and pointed us in the direction to meet with Randy. Our experience with this whole team was amazing. They addressed any and all concerns that we had with our vehicles, no matter how big or small. Randy is a man of his word and I can honestly say, he followed through on every thing he said he would. We purchased two cars that day and couldn't be more pleased. Honest, helpful and sincere! When we bought our 2014 Ford Focus we discovered there was a recall on the transmission - Chris told us in advance - and sure enough, within just a few days it began showing evidence that it needed to be serviced. We immediately sent it to Berkeley Ford for the recall service to be performed and its working wonderfully now. The car also only had one key, but Chris and Randy worked with us, and had another key made for us! We appreciate their honesty and sincere desire to make us happy!

"I received a call from the owner Chris with in 1/2 an hour after inquiring about the 2014 corvette . After discussing my options it was decided I would fly out to Charleston to test drive. I flew out the day after the Christmas holiday's and Chris picked me up at my hotel took me out for a test drive came back and he sent me off by myself to drive as long as I wanted too. Never any pressure Great Guy. The Corvette is now being shipped to Minnesota to it's new home. I couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience and the car. Chris has restored my faith in used car salesmen."

"I found this place by chance through USAA's car buying service while car shopping for my wife. The vehicle we were interested in was no longer available but when we arrived we were met by Chris, the owner. He took the time to show us similar vehicles and was very knowledgeable. His relaxed attitude put us at ease in little time. Though we didn't end up buying a car that day, I had a feeling I'd be back. My wife and I had a hellish time everywhere else we went but she eventually found what she was looking for despite the salespeople.

A couple months later I was back looking for my own car. I met with Chris again who remembered me and even asked how my family was. Relaxed demeanour still present; he spent a few hours talking with, and showing me cars based on what I explained I wanted. I ended up with a 2016 Nissan Sentra at a price I am very happy with.

I haven't stopped recommending this place since the first visit when I didn't even purchase a vehicle. I am very glad I was able to find what I wanted the second go-around. My wife and I went to four or five other dealerships between the two of us, and all of them just felt like they couldn't wait to gut your wallet and have you thank them for it as they push you to the finance office.
